About
Mae McGraw is the pen name for Kim Wuescher, who is a retired high school teacher. She writes mysteries set in the Civil War period, a fascinating time in American history. The changes and challenges wrought by this war were devastating for the country but improved women’s lives and the practice of medicine.
Kim/Mae is president of the Northeast Ohio chapter of Sisters in Crime and a member of the Great Lakes Fiction Writers. She is a docent for the Medina County Historical Society. The setting for her debut mystery, Bitter Medicine: A Katie Harris Mystery, begins in the summer of 1865 and in the village of Liberty, which is based on historical Medina, Ohio. She plans to write five more books in this series.
